Ever since Disha Vakani aka Dayaden left ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, the fans of the popular comedy show have been missing their favourite character. However, the makers of the show decided to wait for the actress but now as per some reports Disha may not return to the show now as the producer of the show has begun hunt of new actress for the role.
In a talk with indianexpress.com, Asit Kumar Modi said, “There are women who take maternity breaks and then resume work. We have given Disha leave and now we cannot wait more so will have to start looking for a new Dayaben. We will have to replace her, for the audience who have waiting for Daya’s return. And as it’s said, the show must go on’’.
The actress went on a maternity leave in October 2017 and delivered a baby girl on November 30, 2017. Later, there were reports that the actress may not join work any time soon as she wants to concentrate on bringing up her child. However, the makers of the show somehow shot some scenes from Disha’s house and as per her convenience for some episodes.

This is not the first time when any original character has left the show and never came back. Earlier, Bhavya Gandhi aka Tappu or Tipendra Lal Gada left the show and now the role has been given to Raj Anadkat. The most recent walkout from the show was of Nidhi Bhanushali who played the role of Sonu Bhide.
‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is one of the most popular and longest running comedy show in the Indian television and is based on the column Duniye Ne Oondha Chashma written by columnist and journalist Taarak Mehta. Actor Shailesh Lodha plays a character inspired by the late columnist, retaining the name Taarak Mehta.
