Disha Vakani aka the very popular Dayaben is all set to return on SAB TV's much famous sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
The actress, who has become a household name with her character of Dayaben, was rumoured to be leaving the show post the birth of her daughter.
It was reported that Disha will be leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as she wants to focus on her child.
The news came as a major disappointment for her fans, but looks like the makers have give-in to the demands of the audience and have decided to bring back Dayaben on the show.
However, there will be a small twist to Dayaben's return on TMKOC.
Reportedly, the makers are planning to have a flashback sequence where Daya and Jethalal will be seen reminiscing their good old days and will feature the couple's previously shot episodes.
"The makers of Taarak Mehta… will introduce a track revolving around Daya Ben and Gada family. Daya and Jethalal will revive their good old memories in the show. They would talk about how they were as teenagers and how much fun they had in their childhood," a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.
The source added, "Though the sequences featuring Disha have been shot, makers will use the footage in its upcoming episodes. Since viewers were missing Daya in Taarak Mehta… they decided to use the unexploited scenes now".
Well, this will indeed come as a sigh of relief for Daya's fans who are missing her onscreen presence on TMKOC.
However, only time will reveal if Disha Vakani will be back on the show for the new episodes of Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah.
