There are very few shows which stay fresh in the minds and hearts of the viewers even after going off air. And it won’t be wrong to say that Kasautii Zindagii Kay is one of them.
The popular romantic drama started beaming on Star Plus at the 8:30PM slot and went on to air over 1400 episodes during its seven year long run.
Think of Kausatii Zindagii Kay and immediately the names of Prerna, Anurag Basu, Komolika and Mr. Bajaj strikes your mind. The daily soap made Shweta Tiwari, Cezzane Khan and Ronit Roy household names.
Anurag and Prerna played by Cezzane and Shweta respectively remain one of the most popular on-screen couples. Fans were eagerly waiting to see their favourite couple and show back on their television screens.
It seems that their wish has finally come true. Ekta Kapoor who produced the cult classic confirmed on social media that she is bringing a new chapter of the show.

Kasautii Zindagii Kay beautifully portrayed the journey of star-struck lovers Prerna and Anurag who could never re-unite but continued to love each other. The show with a Bengali drop will always be remembered for the character Komolika played by Urvashi Dholakia.
Urvashi earned a lot of hate from the fans for playing the vicious Komolika who created havoc in the lives of the two lovers. Right from her swag to her entrance music, the character had it all.
Music plays a crucial role in the success of a show on the small screen. Kasautii Zindagii Kay’s theme music crooned by Babul Supriyo and Priya Bhattacharya was the love anthem of the youngsters.
The rebooted version of the romantic drama will have new faces if the recent reports are to be believed. Ekta’s tweet indicated that the new version will focus on heartbreak just like the original one.
All said and done, this is definitely a good piece of news for the people who have watched the show. We just can’t wait to re-live the romantic moments once again.
