Ekta Kapoor is known as the queen of the small screen for a reason. The TV czarina has produced several shows like Hum Paanch, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin and Bade Acche Lagte Hain, went have gone to create a special place in the hearts of the audience.
The talented TV and film producer has made grand family sagas under her banner Balaji Productions and now she is all set to make another one. The 42-year-old, who is known for offering wholesome entertainment to viewers, will remake Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham as a daily soap.
A report in Mumbai Mirror suggested that the Kundali Bhagya producer would produce the remake of Karan Johar directorial for the small screen. Ekta had earlier confirmed that she would make a family show for Sony Entertainment Television after ages.

Erica Fernandes, who millions of hearts as Sonakshi in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, has been approached to play the female protagonist.
''Bijoy Anand, who played Kajol’s wayward fiancé in the 1998 romcom Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, has been cast to play Amitabh Bachchan’s patriarch, Yashvardhan Raichand, while Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi actress Erica Fernandes is in talks to play either Kajol’s talkative Anjali or her younger sister, Pooja (popularised by Kareena as ‘Poo’). The part will be finalised after a look test’’, a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Speculations are rife that Ekta’s blue-eyed boy Rajat Tokas will play the lead role in the upcoming project. The handsome actor was part of Jodha Akbar, Naagin and Chandra Nandini, all three shows produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Varun Sood, who was part of MTV Splitsvilla, was reported to be part of the show as the second lead. However, a report in Tellybuzz stated the young lad had backed out of the show.
''Yes, I am not doing the show. Actually, I had some other project commitments and the dates were clashing, so I am not part of the project’’, Varun told Tellybuzz.

Grapevines are buzzing with the rumours that Ekta Kapoor would make a show on the lines of Game of Thrones for her digital platform Alt Balaji.
