Bharti Singh's appearance on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' has indeed given a new life to the comedy show and the audience is just loving it. However, there is one person who is apparently quite amazed with Bharti-Kapil's collaboration.
We are talking about Bharti's close friend and co-host from 'Comedy Nights Bachao' - Krushna Abhishek.
The comedian, during his recent interviews with Times Of India admitted that while he initially thought of the reports of Bharti-Kapil's collaboration as mere rumors and was quite amazed when it turned out to be true.
“I laughed it off, as I was confident that she wouldn’t join his team. However, I later realised that it was true. How could Bharti join him?,” Krushna said
Krushna also revealed that he and Bharti has even vowed not to appear on Kapil's show ever.
“It has been four years since Kapil’s show started, and Bharti and I had vowed never to appear on it. It was an unwritten pact between us. Firstly, because it was named after him and secondly because I am not a small-time comedian, who would appear on someone’s show for a few minutes. They couldn’t have afforded me as I charge a bomb (smiles),” revealed Krushna while talking to Times of India.
He further added, “I feel as if a family member has gone away from me. I don’t grudge Kapil, but this was a pact between Bharti and me.”
On being quizzed about his present terms with Bharti and if her collaboration with Sharma means an end to their friendship, Krushna said, “Not at all. I am in touch with her. In fact, I was the first one to rush to her side when she was hospitalised recently. When I asked her about her decision, she said, ‘Krushna, mujhe kaam karna hai’.”
Interestingly, while Krushna's new show 'The Drama Company' is all set to compete with Kapil's TKSS, the former doesn't want Sharma's show to end.
“On a positive note, there is a balance now between the two shows. Personally, I don’t want Kapil’s show to end. I want both to work so that there’ll be healthy competition,” said Krushna Abhishek.
Krushna and Kapil have been at loggerheads since Abhishek took over Sharma's 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' on Colors. And now the two comedians will soon be competing with their respective comedy shows on Sony now.
Only time will reveal who will have a upper hand in this competition.
