Actor Karan Singh Grover’s exit from Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 came as a shocker for his fans. Karan recently posted a picture of his farewell from the sets and his fans and followers are hoping for him to return to play Mr Bajaj after a short break. Earlier it was reported that the actor wasn’t happy with the way his character was shaping up on the show and as a result, he decided to quit the show.
However, Karan rubbished the reports saying that his exit was a mutual decision by him and the KZK makers. ''It’s not that at all. This is the way the story has been planned and written this time around. It’s a mutual decision. I had a lot of fun playing Bajaj,” Karan was quoted saying to Times Of India.
Speculations are rife that the actor may soon return to the show. ''No one knew about his exit until he informed the team on the last day of his shoot. The makers want to focus on Komolika and the Basu family in the show as of now. If the ratings don’t go up, there is a good chance that Mr. Bajaj will be brought back,'' a source was quoted saying.
Talking about his stint on the show, Karan said, ''One of the highlights of 2019 has been collaborating with Ekta Kapoor for ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. As the story takes its natural course, the role of Mr Rishabh Bajaj has come to an end. However, I want you all to know this is an au revoir rather than a farewell.''
Karan returned to the small screen earlier this year after a gap of three years with Kasautii Zindagii Kayy where he played the role of Mr Bajaj. Meanwhile, Hina Khan has been replaced by Aamna Sharif as the new Komolika. Aamna expressing her excitement for participation in the daily soap revealed that the role will challenge her the most as an actor.
"The reason for the break was the need to reinvent my personal life. It would have been easy to stay in my comfort zone and come back with a love story, but that wouldn’t have satiated me as an actor. It’s always a different kind of rush to surprise your audience. So, when I was offered the role of Komolika, I instinctively knew that this is what will challenge me the most as an actor,'' she had said.
