Aamna expressing her excitement for participation in the daily soap revealed that the role will challenge her the most as an actor. "The reason for the break was the need to reinvent my personal life. For the uninitiated, Aamna rose to fame with her role in the romance-drama show Kahiin Toh Hoga that also starred Rajiv Khandelwal and Surveen Chawla. Incidentally, Kahiin To Hoga was one of the prime competitors of the original Kasauti that starred Shweta Tiwari, Ronit Roy. Next Aamna took a big Bollywood leap and was part of movies like Aloo Chaat. Opposite Aftab Shivdasani and Ek Villain, opposite Ritiesh Deshmukh.

Earlier names of Karishma Tanna, Gauhar Khan, Jasmin Bhasin were doing the rounds as a probable choice for the new Komolika before the makers went down on Aamna. 

In another instance, Kasautii Zindagii Kay also celebrated its one year anniversary on September 25. Aamna's anticipated entry as Komolika is sure to spice things up for them on the show.
