Kaun Banega Crorepati 9: Jamshedpur’s Anamika Mazumdar becomes first crorepati of ninth season

The ninth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan has finally found its first crorepati in Jamshedpur’s Anamika Mazumdar, who won Rs 1 crore after answering the question without having any lifelines left.

A social worker by profession, Anamika reportedly tried to attempt the jackpot question worth Rs 7 crore, however, she decided to quit after realising she didn't know the answer.

According to the reports by indianexpress.com, “Anamika was a very practical and reasonable kind of a person who took each question very seriously. When she reached the crore mark, even with no lifeline left, she reasoned all the options before choosing the right answer. Even Big B was surprised with her confidence and risk-taking attitude.”

Anamika runs 'Faith in India' NGO, that is dedicated towards uplifting women in Jharkhand, especially in the rural areas for the last three years and she wishes to use the prize money for the same cause.
