Ajeet Kumar walked away with Rs 1 crore on Kaun Banega Crorepati. Kumar from Bihar is the fourth crorepati of the season 11 of the show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Ajeet delivered an impressive performance on the hot seat on KBC. He impressed everyone, including Bachchan, with his confidence and knowledge. For Ajeet, the Rs 1 crore was, ‘Which was the first British satellite to have been launched successfully by a British rocket?’ and his options were, ‘Ariel 1, Prospero, Miranda and Zircon’. After using his 50-50 lifeline, Ajeet won Rs 1 crore by locking Prospero.

Ajeet, however, was stumped by the final question for Rs 7 crore. He was asked a question related to cricket and decided to quit the show, walking away with Rs 1 crore.

The Rs 7 crore question was, ‘Who is the first cricketer to score two T20 International fifties on the same day in two different matches?’ and his options were, ‘Nawroz Mangal, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Shahzad and Shakib Al Hasan’. Ajeet decided to quit the show since he did not have any lifelines left and did not know the correct answer to it. When asked by Amitabh Bachchan to guess one but he went for Nawroz Mangal- the wrong option. The correct answer was Mohammad Shahzad.

On 20 January 2017, during Desert T20 Challenge Mohammad Shahzad became scored two half-centuries in two separate international matches on the same day (80 against Oman and 52* against Ireland) becoming first cricket player in history to do so.
