Kaun Banega Crorepati 11, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, has been grabbing many eyeballs ever since it premiered on the small screens. On Monday, the quiz show finally saw a contestant reaching the second last question for Rs 1 crore. Charna Gupta, a labour inspector from Madhya Pradesh, chose to quit the show before answering the question.
Charna had already used all the lifelines and chose not to attempt it, in order to not lose her existing price money of Rs 50 lakh. The question read out by Amitabh was, ''In 1944, the Battle of Kanglatongbi was fought near which present day Indian state capital?'' But, the makers of the show made a big blunder as they provided wrong options. The options included - Imphal, Itanagar, Guhawati and Kohima.
The makers gave Guwahati as one of the four options to the asked question even when it is not a capital. Assam's capital is Dispur and not Guhawati and looks like the makers got confused. The right answer for the question was Imphal which is the capital of Manipur. Charna received the Rs 50 lakh cheque from the celebrity host who repeatedly said, ''Well played!''

Amitabh had recently touched the feet of a guest, social activist Sindhutai upon her arrival, despite being older to her. She is particularly known for her work in raising orphaned children in India. Sindhutai singlehandedly has nurtured and adopted over 1200 children and has even been given awards for her selfless work.
Talking about how Amitabh Bachchan brings much more energy to the show every season, director Arun Sheshkumar had told Mid-Day in an interview, ''Every year, Mr Bachchan becomes younger. He becomes like a kid on set. He tells us, 'Chalo, aaj kya naya karna hai?’ He enjoys the process as the kid in him is very much alive. For us, it becomes more challenging to bring in the novelty. He treats himself as part of the show, and not as a superstar. There is no one on the set who can say that Mr Bachchan did not wave out to him.''
He had also revealed that a buggy camera has become the actor’s favourite toy as it follows him around the sets.
KBC 11 opened to a lot of love and appreciation from fans. The previous season of the show enjoyed high ratings and the finale episode received highest ratings as well as overwhelming response from the audience.
