In the wake of #MeToo movement making rounds in India, the comedy group AIB will no longer be a part of the popular streaming OTT platform Hotstar. After two of the founding members of All India Bakchod – Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba – were allegedly involved in sexual harassment accusation, Hotstar cancelled their deal with AIB.

The comedy group was running their web comedy news show called On Air With AIB on Hotstar, and while the accusations surfaced, Rohan Joshi shared and confirmed the news on his Instagram stories.
Rohan informed the audiences that they have been informed by the team of Hotstar that there will be no further episodes of On Air With AIB, effective immediately. He further thanked every person on the show along with audiences, who supported him in fulfilling his dream of running a news comedy show.

Hotstar too posted an official statement on Twitter to share the news of cancelling the production of On Air with AIB Season 3, with immediate effect.

The allegations against Utsav Chakraborty has brought a turnaround to the comedy group. Since the issue surfaced the Twitter, AIB has been going through a rough phase of heated arguments among the comedy fraternity. The row of agitation has made AIB put up more than one statement with either apology or defence.
