After Sacred Games, Netflix’s next Indian original that everyone is talking about is Shah Rukh Khan fronted edge-of-the-seat thriller, Bard of Blood. The trailer, however, did not go down well with Pakistan Army Major General Asif Ghafoor who took a dig at SRK for producing a series which puts Pakistan and its atrocities in limelight.
The show based on Bilal Siddiqi's espionage thriller of the same name tells the story of an excommunicated RAW agent Kabir Anand portrayed by Emraan Hashmi returns to a covert mission with analyst Isha and another sleeper agent Veer Singh to rescue four RAW agents captured in Balochistan.
The Pak Army Major General posing a criticism on India revoking Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir suggested SRK to focus on promoting peace and humanity speak against atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir
He tweeted, “Stay in Bollywood syndrome @iamsrk. For reality, see RAW Spy Kulbhushan Jadev, Wing Comd Abhinandan & state of 27 Feb 2019. You could rather promote peace & humanity by speaking against atrocities in IOJ&K and against Hindituva of Nazism obsessed RSS

As soon as this tweet went up, Indians were quick to take Ghafoor down for trolling SRK. Here are a few comments made on his post.

Meanwhile, Urdu poet Iqra Khilji too expressed her dislike over the show. She tweets "Yes, SRK, this is what we need from Muslim artists. When Indian Muslims face the most Islamophobic narrative fabricated under a fascist state, we need you to pander to their stereotypes. Fuck this. There are better stories to be told than Jack Ryan-ish bullshit."
