Rekha Krishnappa death hoax: Kannada actress says she's alive

In a case of mistaken identity, rumours about popular Kannada and Tamil TV actress Rekha Krishnappa’s death in a car accident emerged via reports in Tamil media, following which the actress has took it to social media clarifying the air.

She assured her fans that she was all fine and was at Sharada Petta temple. She also stated that the reports of her death in a road mishap are all rumours. She said that she started receiving calls since the news of her death broke.

"I am all fine guys.....at present in Sringeri sharada petta temple," Krishnappa put the death rumours to rest by posting a live video on Facebook.

Earlier on Friday, media reports said that Kannada TV actress Rekha Sindhu died in a road mishap while she was travelling to Nadarampalli in Vellore district in Tamil Nadu.

According to reports, the accident took place on Chennai-Bengaluru national highway. Reports said that her car hit a median and toppled. There were three more people in the car and all died on the spot.

The other deceased have been identified as Abhishek Kumaran (22), Jayachandran (23) and Rakshan (20).

The actor and the other injured co-passengers were rushed to Thirupatthur government hospital where she was declared brought dead.
A case has been registered and investigations are on in the incident.
