Rita Bhaduri dies at 62, here is Twitterati reacts (File Photo)
Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri's death came as a huge shocker to the Bollywood film fraternity and her fans. Bhaduri, who was a big name in both Gujarati and Hindi film industry, left for her eternal abode on Tuesday. She was admitted to Mumbai's Sujay hospital for the last 10 days and breathed her last after a prolonged battle with chronic kidney disease. She was 62.
Bollywood Career:
The Nimki Mukhiya actress, who stepped into her Bollywood career with Teri Talash Mein in 1968, will be remembered for her remarkable performance in Sawan Ko Aane Do, Julie, Khoon Ki Pukar, Vishwanath, Unees Bees and many others. Bhaduri became one of the leading supporting actors in the 1970s. She also bagged the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in Raja.
Excel in Television:
In the early 90s, Bhaduri switched to Television and in no time became popular for playing roles of the grandmother or the matriarch of a family. Her last Television soap Nimki Mukhiya also featured her as Imarti Devi, the grandmother of the house.
Besides Nimki Mukhiya, the popular television soaps, Bhaduri had in her kitty, include Bible Ki Kahaniya, Amanat, Hasratein, Kumkum, Choti Bahu, Choti Bahu, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, and Kaajjal. The veteran last shot for Nimki Mukhiya, the ongoing Star Bharat show, 15 days back. Having a career spanning around five decades, Bhaduri appeared in 70 films and around 30 TV shows.
Family Background:
Bhaduri is the daughter of Sawan Bhadon actress Chandrima Bhaduri and was frequently mistaken as Jaya Bhaduri (Bachchan)'s sister.

Meanwhile, social media has been flooding with a series of condolence messages as the actress's demise left fans and colleagues in a state of shock. While some of Bhaduri's industry colleagues attended her last rites to bid adieu to the actress, others took to Twitter to express their grief over her demise.
