TV actress Chahatt Khanna who was last seen in Qubool Hai recently bared about the MeToo movement and the casting couch issues faced by aspiring actors in Bollywood.
Chahatt who is coming back to Bollywood after a long time with Sanjay Dutt's Prassthanam in an interview with spotboyE revealed that she never pursued a career in Bollywood for a long time because of casting couch that exists even today. “Casting directors were also in it. Who will admit it? Nobody. Casting couch existed on a very large scale,” stated the actress
When questioned why didn't she open up on it during the #MeToo movement, Chahatt went on to reveal, “Some of them also took cheques and kept quiet. Aur jinka publicity stunt tha, woh kaam kar gaya. This was a phase. It was like a fashion trend. Whosoever encashed, encashed. Whosoever didn’t, didn’t,” she said.

She added, “I know many actresses who chose to not speak. But let me tell you that there were quite a few actors whose names should have surfaced but did not. Agar suffering hoti hai, then why wait for a platform like Me Too?”
Chahatt, who divorced Farhan Mirza, in 2018, accusing her husband of sexual and mental set her failed marriage as an example.
