The first season of “Star Trek” TV series will have 13 episodes.
Co-creator and showrunner Bryan Fuller said the episodes will stick to one story, and that shooting begins in September, reported Digital Spy.
“We’ve got the arc of the first season entirely written, or arced out, and we’ve got the first six episodes entirely broken,” he said.
According to initial reports the new “Star Trek” will be set on a ship other than the ‘Enterprise’ and will maintain continuity with the ‘60s series but not JJ Abrams’s movie universe.
