‘Pehredaar Piya Di’, a show which has been in the headlines since the airing of its first episode, is in talks again as the makers have decided to come up with a new season.
If sources are to be believed, the new season of ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ will feature Shantanu Maheshwari as the male lead and he will be seen romancing with Tejasswi Prakash.
Recently, the show was abruptly canceled because of its controversial plot in which a nine-year boy gets married to an 18-year girl. After continuous protests, Sony TV decided to change the timings of the show. But, due to bad ratings, the channel finally pulled off the show.
And, now the channel has finalized Shantanu Maheshwari as the new face of Prince Ratan which was earlier played by Afaan Khan.
The plot of the show will see a leap of few years wherein the kid will grow up and makes a return from abroad.
Shantanu has been part of several TV shows earlier such as ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’, ‘Dil Dosti and Dance’, ‘Girls on Top’ and currently he is one of the finalists in ‘Khataron Ke Khiladi 8’.
This would be the first time when Shantanu and Tejasswi be paired and will soon leave for a 15-day shoot in Bikaner later this month.
