The makers of the much touted biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma starring superstar Aamir Khan has finally zeroed in the name of the movie as 'Saare Jahan Se Acha'.
Rakesh Sharma was first Indian to go in space way back in 1984 and Aamir will be seen portraying his role on the silver screen
According to the media reports, the makers were had two names in consideration - ‘Salute’ and ‘Saare Jahan Se Acha’.
However, the team chose to go for the latter as they wanted a name that would not just suit the context of the movie, but will also have a patriotic touch to it.
Besides, IT has been reported that during Rakesh Sharma’s space visit when then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi asked Rakesh Sharma how India looked from outer space, the astronaut had said, "Saare Jahaan Se Achcha". This why the title seems more apt for the biopic.
Aamir is said to begin shooting for Rakesh Sharma’s biopic in 2018 after completing YRF's Thugs of Hindostan
“Aamir has already shot for a special character in his manager Advait Chauhan's Secret Superstar. Right after Dangal, he starts work on YRF's Thugs of Hindostan with Amitabh Bachchan that releases on Diwali 2018. And he's already signed the Rakesh Sharma biopic which will roll on right after he completes Thugs,” a source told a leading daily.
Well, it will indeed be interesting to see Mr. Perfectionist in a yet another intriguing role.
Currently, Aamir Khan is busy promoting his upcoming movie ‘Dangal’.
Also starring Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in key roles, ‘Dangal’ is slated to hit the screens on December 23.
