Akshay Kumar's 'Padman' has become the talk of the town since its inception because of its theme. The upcoming movie which throws light on women's health and menstruation has finally locked its release date.
The movie which is helmed by R. Balki also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.
Khiladi Kumar who has been delivering back to back hits has opted for a patriotic date to release his film. The 'Airlift' actor took to Twitter to announce that the movie will release on January 26 next year.

The movie is said to be based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is known as the India’s 'Menstruation Man'. The 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' star will be seen playing the character of the silver screen.
The movie will trace the journey of Arunachalam who invented the machine which helped in providing low-cost sanitary napkins for women in villages.
With Padman slated to release on Republic day, it would mean that the movie will clash with 2.0 at the box office. The movie is the sequel to the blockbuster movie -Robot. 2.0 stars Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles.
We will have to wait to see if the makers of the 2.0 push their release date further or not.
