Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is no longer clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey at the box office in Christmas 2020. The actor-producer recently took to social media to thank Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala for moving the release date of their film from the earlier fixed date.
Aamir Khan wrote, "Sometimes all it takes is one conversation. Thank you to my friends @akshaykumar & Sajid Nadiadwala for their warm gesture of moving the release date of their film Bachchan Pandey at my request. I wish them the very best for their film. Looking forward to it. Love. a (sic)."

Akshay Kumar has been having an overtly successful run at the box office for quite some time now. The year 2020 has a slew of releases lines up from prithviraj to Laxxmi Bomb. It was in July this year when the ‘Khiladi’ actor revealed the first look of his upcoming film Bachchan Pandey and announced that it will be releasing on Christmas. Akshay replying to Aamir's tweet shared the new look of his film and announced that the new release date. "Anytime @aamir_khan , we’re all friends here 🙃 Presenting - new look, new release date. Earlier it was reported Hrithik Roshan’s Krissh 4 will also open at theatres on the same day but the Roshan clan has made no announcement regarding the same as of yet.
"Bachchan Pandey" marks 10th collaboration between Sajid and Akshay. The duo have earlier worked together on films like "Waqt Humara Hai", "Hey Babyy", "Jann-E-Mann" and "Housefull" franchise among others.
Laal Singh chaddha on the other hand is a Bollywod remake of Tom Hanks cult classic, Forrest Gump. The first look of Aamir is already out. The movie is being shot across Punjab, West Bengal, and Maharashtra.
