After 'Padmavati', Deepika Padukone to be a part of THIS movie

Deepika Padukone, who is currently busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati', has bagged another movie which will be helmed by National-Award winning director Vishal Bhardwaj. According to the media reports, the filmmaker has approached Deepika for his next project which is said to be based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Confirming the news, Bhardwaj told an entertainment portal, "Deepika had asked me to write a script for her. After reading it, she liked it a lot. We are in final stages of discussion with her". If the media reports are to be believed, the 'Piku' actresss will be seen essaying the role of gangster Rahim Khan alias Sapna Didi, who had almost killed dreaded underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Interestingly, this yet to be named movie will also star Irrfan Khan in key role of a gangster. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news about the lead cast of the movie and wrote, "Deepika Padukone and Irrfan in Vishal Bhardwaj and KriArj <#Rustom> new untitled film. Directed by Honey Trehan."

Notably while DP will be collaborating with Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time, she will working with Irrfan for the second time after 'Piku'.

This yet-to-be titled movie will also mark the directorial debut of Honey Trehan' and said to hit the floors by the end of this year. "Honey has been associated with me since when I made my first film. It gives me immense joy to launch him as a director," Vishal added.

Currently, Deepika Padukone is busy with 'Padmavati' which also stars Ranveer Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor in the lead. The movie is scheduled to release on November 17 this year.
