Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period drama ‘Padmaavat’ has now got a new poster and trailer along with the release date. The movie is now going to release on January 25 but is still banned in some states of the country.
The movie has been mired into controversy since inception. Even after several modifications, the political leaders are not satisfied with the flick. Now, the flick has been banned in several states like Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The makers re-released the trailer and poster of the movie recently, after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested a change of name. Earlier titled ‘Padmavati’, the movie is now titled ‘Padmaavat’.
CBFC chairman Prasoon Joshi had said that the board had advised only five modifications and name change for the movie. Apart from this, nothing else had been changed. Some modifications in disclaimers had also been made like not glorifying the practice of ‘Sati’ and also relevant changes in the movie’s song ‘Ghoomar’.
