Bhushan Kumar and director Mohit Suri are planning a sequel to the director’s very successful 2014 crime thriller Ek Villain, where Siddharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor were tormented to breaking point by villain Riteish Deshmukh and not Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur will feature in the lead roles.

Mumbai-Mirror reported that Part 2 is not a sequel but a new story that pits John and Aditya’s characters against each other. “It will also have an intense love story at its core,” revealed the source, adding that the makers are in the process of signing a top actress to be paired alongside the hero. “Both John and Adi had heard Mohit’s idea a while ago and were excited to come on board as the premise is something both haven’t explored before. The final narration took place recently, following which the two actors signed the film.

Music will be the USP for the sequel like it was for the original, giving us chartopper some romantic tracks like ‘Hamdard’, ‘Galliyan, ‘Banjara’. Bushan and Mohit are now locking songs for the music album of the film.  

Mohit and Aditya are gearing up for the release of Malang scheduled for February 07 and whose trailer drops today. This will be the filmmaker’s third collaboration with the actor after Ashiqui 2 and Malang and first with John Abraham who is currently shooting for Sanjay Gupta’s Mumbai Saga and Independence Day release, Attack.

Earlier it was reported that Arjun Kapoor will be roped into get in the shows of Retiesh Deshmukh for his first grey character, but looks like things did not work out with the Panipat actor giving way to John Abraham. Kriti Sanon reportedly will romance Arjun. 

The film will go on the floors towards the second half of 2020. Nothing has been revealed about the leading lady who will star opposite John and Aditya.
