R Madhavan, who was said to romance Aishwarya Rai in her upcoming movie Fanney Khan, has reportedly walked out of the project. It was being reported that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was keen to rope in Madhavan in his production along with veteran actor Anil Kapoor.
According to the media reports, Madhavan had demanded a whopping amount for the movie which the makers refused to give after which he opted out of the movie
However, contrary to the reports, Madhavan has stated that he had to leave Fanney Khan due to date issues.
“I loved the script and was really keen to be part of an interesting ensemble like Fanney Khan, unfortunately I couldn’t commit to the project due to date issues. I wish the team of all the luck,” Madhavan said in a statement.
Reportedly, post Madhavan's exit, the producers have roped in Rajkummar Rao.
Helmed by Atul Manjrekar, 'Fanney Khan' is said to be adapted from Dominique Deruddere’s Dutch film Everybody’s Famous and is expected to release in April 2018.
