Actress Rani Mukherjee, who was last seen in 2014 crime thriller Mardaani, is all set to make a BIG come back to the silver screen with her forthcoming film Hichki.

After a gap of four years, the diva is returning from her maternity break and the trailer of the Maneesh Sharma film is already doing rounds on social networking sites.

The makers of the film released the trailer via a live video on YRF’s official Facebook handle in Mumbai on Tuesday and Rani's absolutely unseen avatar as Naina Mathur, an aspiring teacher is winning over people across the nation.

The story of the film revolves around Naina Matur's journey towards overcoming her weakness, who is suffering from a rare neurological disease, Tourette syndrome. Despite repeated rejections from most schools for her rare condition, Naina does not give up on her dream.

She bags one chance of becoming a teacher in an elite school and accepts the challenge of teaching a set of ill-mannered students who leave no chance to make her life difficult.

While an over-confident Naina does not allow anyone to take away her confidence, as a teacher she is ready to do all the justice to her duty and leaves no stone unturned to help her students find the correct path in life.

Moreover, during the release of the trailer in Mumbai on Tuesday, Rani opened up about her and her family's stammering problem and said, "I would stammer and I overcame that. My mom would stammer, then my brother Raja seeing her he would and then me. My mom is a classical singer when she would sing she wouldn’t stammer but while talking she would. As my stammering was not inborn it was easy to overcome."

Earlier, the 39-year-old actress had expressed her gratitude to have got the opportunity to portray such a strong character in the film.

"As Rani, I play what I am but it’s always inspiring to be other people because I portray so many powerful women on screen, who eventually inspire me and others too," Rani said during a live chat on her birthday this year.

Helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra, Rani Mukherjee's Hichki is scheduled to hit the screens on February 23, 2018.

The actress was away from the industry because of her pregnancy and was blessed with a beautiful girl child on December 9, 2015.

On December 10, the beauty was hitting headlines after she celebrated her little angel Adira's birthday with a grand and lavish party which was looking no less than a scene from big-budget Bollywood movie.

Bollywood was all geared up to have a gala time at Rani Mukherji's place as Adira turned two this year.
