Indu Sarkar trailer: Watch Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh in an intense drama based on 1975 Emergency

The trailer of filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming movie on the emergency of 1975-‘Indu Sarkar’ has been unveiled on Friday.

The movie stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kriti Kulhari and Anupam Kher in lead roles. Supriya Vinod is playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s character while Neil is playing her son Sanjay Gandhi.

Small town girl Kirti Kulhari also stars in a pivotal role along with Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher. Kulhari, who was last seen in Amitabh Bachchan starer Pink is playing a rebel poet during the emergency era.

The trailer gives glimpses of some solid Mukesh special dialogues and has bold references to the Gandhi family. It starts with a dialogue- “Ab iss desh me Gandhi ke mayne badal chuke hai.” (Now, the meaning of Gandhi has been changed in this country.)

Rajasthani girl Kirti’s, who stammers a little while speaking- is in a bold avatar and her role promises an artist-versus-govt fight which we recently saw during Bihar Assembly elections when many artists returned their awards in protest against the intolerance.

The movie is scheduled to release on July 28.
