Sara Ali Khan's big Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath has been one hot topic of discussion in tinselvile. While everyone is eager to watch the Pataudi princess on the big screen, looks like the audience will have to wait to watch Sara spilling her magic along with Sushant Singh Rajput.
According to the media reports, Kedarnath has been postponed now and is expected to release by the end of 2018.
Indeed, the report has come as a major disappointment for the audience but the makers have a valid reason for delaying the release of Kedarnath.
The media reports suggest that makers want to recreate the set of Kedarnath in Mumbai for a crucial sequence as it is not possible to shoot at the real location at the moment.
"The makers felt that the sequence deserves a grander canvas. So, they have decided to recreate the town of Kedarnath in Mumbai. The set will be erected by February next year. Abhishek intends to wrap up the sequence by June. This has, in turn, pushed the release," a source reportedly told Mid Day
The source further revealed that this special sequence will have advanced VFX effects.
"Gallons of water will be used to create the flood effect. The sequence will be high on VFX," the source added.
The news was later confirmed by producer Prernaa Arora, who stated, "It's going to be a challenging shoot. I completely believe in Gattu's (Kapoor) vision."
Talking about the storyline of Kedarnath, the movie is set to be a love story set against the backdrop of pilgrimage, and the dangerous natural calamity that hit Uttarakhand in 2013.
