Shoutout to all the Bollywood movies aficionados, who eagerly wait for Fridays to bestow them with new releases! While last week, on one hand where Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho narrating the story of a 50-year-old pregnant mother Neena Gupta took the audiences on a rollercoaster laughing riot, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Rom-Com Namastey London on the other fell flat at the box-office. Nevertheless, new Friday, new releases. So, here are the five Bollywood movies releasing this weekend: Bazaar, 5 Weddings, Kaashi: In Search Of Ganga, Dassehra, Marudhar Express.

Bazaar

Saif Ali Khan starrer Bazaar rolls the dice around the cut-throat world of stock market. The film welcomes the newbie Rohan Mehra and the gorgeous ladies of B-Town, Radhika Apte and Chitrangada Singh in pivotal roles. Gauravv K. Chawla directorial and penned by Nikkhil Advani, Aseem Arora, and Parveez Sheikh, the movie weighs upon Shakun (Saif) who blesses Rizwan (Rohan) to come aboard but deadly warning tags along with it. Things go well for the two right until they don’t, and the story runs into the chaos of crumbling lives.

5 Weddings

Namrata Singh Gujral’s 5 Weddings bring Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri together on the silver screen for the first time. The movie which was initially slated to release on August 10 will not release this Friday. Nargis plays a writer who is in India to write an article on Indian weddings where she meets Rajkummar, a cop who is assigned the responsibility to escort the lady. The story is not all happy-go-jolly but takes a serious turn when the Nargis meets transgenders. This plot twist transforms her from a writer to an investigative journalist.

Kaashi: In Search Of Ganga

Sharman Joshi, known for her comedy roles in various movies, will step into the sphere of some serious performance with Dhiraj Kumar’s Kaashi: In Search of Ganga. Set in the backdrop of the oldest city in the world, Varanasi, the story narrates the journey of the protagonist in search of his missing sister. As the journey proceeds, the deep, dark and filthy secrets unfurl. The thriller drama explores the complex subject with lot many layers.

Dassehra

Political thriller Dassehra, starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Tina Desai, knocks the doors of an investigation. A triple suicide case in a girls hostel brings Tina and Neil together, who fight for justice, making this film an interesting crime drama. Suicide-turned-murder unfolds or maybe layers new mysteries, where the protagonists try connecting the missing dots.

Marudhar Express

Vishal Mishra’s Marudhar Express stars Kunaal Roy Kapur and Tara Alisha in the laughter ride. A quintessential Indian middle-class couple who are under the pressure of childbirth right after their arranged marriage struggles to portray the present context in the funniest way possible.
