Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming period drama 'Padmavati', which is happened to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year, has been mired in controversy even before its release. From vandalisation of film set to the rangoli demolishment at a mall during film's promotion, difficulties and complications have refused to die down regarding the flick.

Earlier fringe group Rajput Karni Sena and several other groups accused Bhansali of 'distorting historical facts', while a member from CBFC has recently claimed that the magnum opus has not been submitted to CBFC for clearance yet.

However, amidst these controversies and debates, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali took to the official Facebook page of film 'Padmavati' to give a short clarification regarding the storyline of the film and cleared their side yet another time.

In the 1:17-minute-long video the director said, Padmavati has been made with utmost honesty and integrity and the story of Rani Padmavati's life has encouraged him to make a period drama like this. Moreover, Bhansali has repeatedly assured the opponents that there are no romantic scenes between Deepika (Rani Padmini) and Ranveer (Allauddin Khilji) in the film.
