Shah Rukh Khan quitting Rakesh Sharma biopic Saare Jahaan Se Achcha because of Zero dud?

Shah Rukh Khan has been a people’s star and despite few underperformances on the box-office, the majestic charm of King Khan has never failed to impress his millions of fans. His recent release Zero garnered mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audiences across the country. The actor who was last seen in Aanand L Rai directorial, co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, will soon begin his next project based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, India’s first space traveler titled Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. 

However, recent reports suggest that Dear Zindagi actor is planning to opt out of the film. The reason given was that all of his recent flops have directors with whom Shah Rukh has worked for the first time.

In a recent interview, film’s writer Anjum Rajabali rubbished the news that Shah Rukh Khan is not a part of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha anymore and branded the news as ‘fake’. Cinestaan inquired the writer through a text message about Shah Rukh quitting the movie to which he replied, “ No, it’s fake news.”

Film’s producer Siddharth Roy Kapur said that an official announcement will be made soon. 

Titled as Saare Jahaan Se Achchan, the Shah Rukh-starrer will go on floors in March. The biopic is being directed by Mahesh Mathai, and if reports are to be true, then the sets are already being built in Mumbai’s Film City. To add more icing, a media report suggests that Shah Rukh has also signed for the third installment of the Don series.
