Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming movie 'Haseena Parkar: Queen Of Mumbai', which was scheduled for an August release, has once again been postponed by the makers.
According to the media reports, director Apoorva Lakhia who had announced the release date of 'Haseena Parkar' as August 18 on micro-blogging site Twitter, has reportedly deleted the tweet dropping hints about the postponing of 'Haseena Parkar'.
Apparently, this is the fourth time that the movie has been postponed. Earlier, the Shraddha Kapoor-starrer was scheduled to release on July 14, after which it was pushed to release on July 28.
However, Lakhia didn't want to witness a clash with Arjun Kapoor's 'Mubarakan' as a result postponed the release to August 18.
Now if the media reports are to believed, the makers have decided to postpone the movie again given that two much talked about movies - 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' and 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' are hitting the theatres on August 4 and Auggust 11 respectively.
Considering the popularity of the two mega releases and its extensive promotions, Apoorva has reportedly decided to postpone the release of 'Haseena Parkar' once again
According to a report published in NDTV, a source confirmed the news and said "Apoorva Lakhia doesn't see any point in getting into the current clutter of releases. It will be suicidal as the producers of Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, which releases on August 11, are likely to get a tax exemption, which will play a vital role in ticket sales. Competing with these two films, Jab Harry Met Sejal and Toilet - Ek Prem Katha, is not only tough but almost impossible."
Reportdly, the makers are yet to release an official statement regarding the postponement of 'Haseena Parkar' and announce its new releas date.
Talking about the movie, 'Haseena Parkar' is a biopic based on Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena. The movie stars Shraddha in the titular role along with her brother Siddhanth Kapoor who will essay the role of Dawood in the movie.
