'Tiger Zinda Hai' happens to be the sequel of 2012 release 'Ek Tha Tiger' starring Salman and Katrina in the lead.
Interestingly, unlike its sequel, 'Ek Tha Tiger' was helmed by Kabir Khan.
It is reported, Kabir took a backfoot for the sequel following his differences with YRF.
The media reports suggested that Kabir wishes to have a say in the budget management and allocation of the movies he make, but this was not acceptable for YRF.
As a result, Kabir turned down the offer to direct 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and Ali Abbas Zafar was taken on board.
