Udta Punjab: Kareena Kapoor's first look as <i>doctor shahiba</i> out now

After unveiling Shahid Kapoor as ‘desi-rockstar’ in upcoming movie Udta Punjab, the first look of Kareena from the film has also been revealed.

Ever since news about the film started coming, it was revealed that Shahid Kapoor’s ex-flame Kareena will be playing the character of a doctor in the film. Clad in a simple salwar kameez, a white coat and a stethoscope, the 35-year-old actress looks just apt for her presumed character.

The first look of Kareena Kapoor as ‘doctor shahiba’ has been revealed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on the social networking site Twitter.

"I play a doctor in the film. It's (the role) very simple and nice, good Samaritan kind of a thing. But the whole atmosphere of the film is so nice and dark that the role is very different," Kareena told PTI. 

Udta Punjab will mark reunion of Kareena and Shahid Kapoor, who were last seen together in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Prabhjyot Singh and Diljit Dosanjh.

"Udta Punjab" releases on June 17.
