Binge-watchers beware! Netflix’s year beginner will haunt you this New Year ’s Eve with quartet of filmmakers -- Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibaker Banerjee upcoming project Ghost Stories. The OTT platform recently shared the teaser of the film and looks like it is all st to make you start your year with shriek.

The teaser do not offer much except for glimpses of the lead actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Surekha Sikri among others giving thrills with their stunned expressions.

Prior to releasing the teaser, Zoya Akhtar revealed that the horror genre is a space that none of the four directors have ever experimented with before. The film "is about things that are not really human," said Banerjee, and you can expect to see "monsters and supernatural" activity in the film, quipped Kashyap. And, of course, the teaser hold true to the directors statements.

The film stars Avinash Tewari, Gulshan Devaiah, Janhvi Kapoor, Kusha Kapila, Mrunal Thakur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Surekha Sikri, Sukant Goel, and Vijay Verma in pivotal roles.

The quartet of filmmakers -- Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibaker Banerjee -- have announced that their upcoming Netflix film "Ghost Stories" will debut on January 1, 2020. After the success of "Lust Stories", the four filmmakers are reuniting to tell spine-chilling tales through the new anthology film.

Karan took to Twitter to share the news and also posted a teaser video, where all the directors give a glimpse about their respective short stories.

"Fear will soon have a new home...this is a tease of that new home ....coming soon!

 Karan teased that his short might revolve around a "big fat wedding", while Zoya's film will deal with "innocent kindergarten rhymes".

"Bird songs don't sound sweet anymore," said Anurag.

Dibakar added, "Strange fascination and craving for certain kind of food."

It is produced by RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment.
