Maanvi Gagroo who shot to fame with Disney Channel's television show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom and then became a prominent face in web-series like Tripling, Pitchers has made her Bollywood debut with 'Ujda Chaman'. Soon after 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' happened. A few days ahead of the digital release of 'Four More Shots Please 2', the actress has opened up on facing casting couch in the industry. Several actors from Rashami Desai to Richa Chadha are now coming forward to share their casting couch stories after the MeToo movement took the entertainment by storm two years back.
In an interview with Koimoi.com, Maanvi narrated how she was called up for a role in a web-series and the maker offered to raise her feee by three times if she gives her conscent to, 'compro'. “A year ago, I got a call from a random unknown number. They were like ‘we’re doing a web series and we wanted to cast you.’ They told me the budget and I said, ‘nai nai yaar, this is too less and why are we talking about the budget? Tell me the script, only if I’m interested and you are interested in roping me, we can discuss about money, dates and all.’ So he’s like ‘we’re asking people if they are okay with the budget.’ When I said ‘nahi, it’s less’, he tripled the budget just in his next sentence. He said, ‘I can give you this much also, but aapko ‘compro’ karna padega.’”

Irked by the mentioning of the work 'compro' she confessed that she started abusing the person on phone. “This words ‘compro’, ‘compromise’ I was hearing after 7, 8 years. Suddenly I don’t know what triggered me, I started abusing him. Told him ‘aap phone rakho, how dare you? Mai police ko complaint kar rahi hu’."
Talking about how she faced such a situation vene hwen many women has raised their voice during the MeToo movemnet, Maanvi concluded as, "I was really mad because in this pro imposed #MeToo era, I was baffled at how things like this still happen"
Season 2 of 'Four More Shots Please!' which also features Kirti Kulhari, Bani J and Sayani Gupta in lead roles will start streaming on Amazon Prime videos from April 15 onwards.
