Towering high and mighty in the critic score and among viewers, Netflix’s The Witcher is the newest talk of the series down. Not only is the series ranked at one of the highest rated original series on IMDb vying for top spot among the likes of Stranger Things, House of Cards and Peaky Blinders with a very impressive score of 8.8, fans are also equally in love with the clingy bard, Jaskier and his song, Toss A Coin.

The song which comes at the end of the series after inviting himself on an adventure with Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) been streamed over 220,000 times and uploaded on every existing social network sites.

Obviously, the goodness of the song has been shared by Witcher-watchers who complains that that song is too good, they can’t get it out of their heads. ‘Toss a Coin to Your Witcher is the song we needed to end 2019. Everyone needs a bard in life’’ one user wrote.

The catchy tune is also inviting people to watch the series with one person tweeting, ‘Good morning I’ve never watched The Witcher series but I’ve had Toss a Coin to Your Witcher stuck in my head since I woke up, all because a video on my timeline auto-played the other day.’

Talking about the song, showrunner, Lauren S Hissrich told Digital Spy,

Jenny Klein wrote the words to that song, and then we would take those lyrics, and Sonya and Giona would start working on basically music for them. And it was an incredible collaboration.

We’d go back and forth. They would send me several different versions. ‘Here’s a more upbeat version’, ‘Here’s a more sort of anthem’, ‘Here’s a version that’s reflective of the mood of the episode, which is much more sort of reflective’.
