The much-successful, British teen drama Sex Education season 2 drops today on Netflix. The teen drama which shows the struggle of teens coming of age, peer pressure, fear of coming out, psychological impacts of broken family on teens and almost every struggle all too common in every household is portrayed brilliantly by the casts. Hence, when Sex Education season 1 ended on a haphazard note our eyes were on the clock on a constant lookout of when Sex Education season 2 will drop.
So, what will happen in season 2?
The official synopsis from Netflix is as follows:
'As a late bloomer Otis must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve.
'Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo.'
Always struggling to express his feelings for Maeve, Otis, in season 2 will likely face the same dilemma as he did in season 1 given, this time with girlfriend in the way Ola and his increasingly strained relationship with crush Maeve.
"Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo," writer Nunn told Thrillist.
Who will be the new faces in Sex Education season 2?
Rahim, played by Sami Outalbali who was introduced at the ending of season 1 will likely play the new Moordale Secondary favourite as stylish French student, maybe a new Jackson? We will also be introduced to the backstory of Maeve with Anne-Marie Duff as Maeve's mother Erin, Chineye Ezeudu as new character Viv. Real-Life Paraplegic George Robinson will appear as Maeve's new neighbour Isaac. While little is known about his character at this stage, there are hints that he may have a crush on Maeve, which will likely cause some issues between her and Otis.
