A MiG-27 fighter jet of Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Jodhpur on Monday morning. According to reports, two pilots flying the MiG-27 aircraft ejected safely. The pilot was on a routine training mission. He had reported a technical problem and sought priority landing. But a house was damaged in the crash. IAF has ordered a court on inquiry into the crash.
These MiGs are already in their phasing out stage as they were bought from Russia in the 1960s and 70s. Since then they have undergone several upgradations during their tenure with IAF.
