Personal Interviews will no longer be part of Andhra Pradesh Service Commission as decided by Andhra Pradesh Government. This will limit the selection process to only written examination. This move to do away with Personal Interview in Andhra Pradesh Service Commission (APPSC) is taken by the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. According to the release from CM’s office, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is being told to conduct the staff selection recruitment process in a flawless and transparent manner.

In the meantime, the Chief Minister also held a review meeting in respect to annual staff selection recruitment calendar for filling vacant posts in government sector. Earlier, the Chief Minister also announced that all government exams will be held from January 1 to January 31 every year.

According to the Chief Secretary's instructions, Chief Secretary L V Subrahmanyam has directed all concerned government departments to list the vacancies accordingly. All those vacant posts will be filled first that renders to emergency service to citizens. The Chief Minister Office release has shown interest in the active participation of IITs and IIMs in the conduct of recruitment examination in the state. "The chief minister wanted the Commission to ensure the whole process to be conducted in a fool proof and transparent manner to avoid legal hassles," the release added.
