SSC CHSL Tier 1 2019 exam and SSC JE 2019 Exam are postponed amid Coronavirus outbreak. The commission has taken this decision after the dangerous COVID-19 virus has started affecting everyone directly or indirectly. According to the official notification, the commission has postponed the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2019 that was to commence from March 20, 2020 and end on March 28, 2020. Apart from this, the commission has also postponed the SSC JE (Junior Engineer) Examination 2019 that was going to be held from March 30, 2020 to April 2, 2020. This step has been taken by the Staff Selection Commission as a precautionary measure to combat the issue of Coronavirus.
Candidates can visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission, i.e. ssc.nic.in to check the detailed notification regrading postponement of SSC CHSL 2019 Tier 1 and JE 2019 Exam. Earlier, the commission released a notification regarding precautionary measures to be taken for SSC CHSL 2019 Tier 1 exam where it was mentioned that bio-metric attendance system will be discontinued.
The SSC JE 2019 Exam comprises two papers wherein paper 1 is objective type and paper 2 is subjective type. The JE Exam comprises questions from the sections of General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Engineering from the respective disciplines and General Awareness. The time duration of the exam is 2 hours.
The SSC CHSL 2019 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in online mode and comprises questions from the sections of Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, English Language and General Awareness.
