Ministry of AYUSH has invited applications for the Medical Officer and Research Officer. The selection of candidates will be done as per the rules set by UPSC. The post of Medical Officer is suitable for physically challenged persons viz. Cerebral palsy/Locomotor Disability/Dwarfism/Leprosy Cured. The number of vacancies for the post is 1 and belong to Unreserved Category. Importantly, the post medical officer is permanent.
Pay Scale:
The pay scale for the medical officer post will be of Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. The post is in the category of General Central Service, Group A, Gazetted Non- Ministerial.

Essential Qualifications:
In order to apply for the medical officer post, candidates need to be not more than 35 years of age. The educational qualification required for the post is as follows:
A university degree in Siddha from a Statutory State Board or Council or recognized university or Faculty of Indian Medicine under the Indian Medicine Central Council ACT, 1970 (48 of 1970).
Applicants must be enrolled on the central register or state register of Indian Medicine A
Education qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in respective cases. The duties will include to work as Doctor in CGHS Dispensaries and Research Officers in Ministry of AYUSH.
