UPSC Civil Services Prelims Notification 2020 has been released. According to the official notification released by UPSC, the Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2020 is going to held on May 31, 2020, and the last date to apply for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020 is March 3, 2020. The UPSC Civil Services Entrance Test will comprise two stage exam which will include UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 Exam followed by UPSC Civil Services Main Exam and UPSC Civil Services Personality Test. It is to note that the UPSC E-Admit Card for Civil Services Prelims exam will be released 3 weeks before the commencement of the exam.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020 Eligibility

In order to apply for the UPSC Civil Prelims Exam for respective posts, candidates need to be in the age group of 21 to 32 years (Age relaxation as per government norms). Apart from this, candidates who have complete their Bachelor Degree Education from a recognized university in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020 Pattern and Selection Procedure

The UPSC Civil Services 2020 Exam will include a three-stage test that comprise Civil Services Prelims 2020 exam, Civil Services Mai 2020 exam and Civil Services Personality Test. Candidates who qualify in the Civil Services Prelims Exam need to appear for the UPSC Main exam and personality test.

The Civil Services Prelims Exam will include two compulsory papers of 200 marks each wherein both the papers will be objective type (MCQs) in nature. Each paper will be of 2 hours duration. The General Studies Paper, which is Paper 2 will be a qualifying paper wherein candidates need to score at-least 33 percent marks. The question paper will be set in English and Hindi. Once candidates clear the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2020, they will have to appear for the Main Exam and Personality Test.
