UPSC has declared the Combined Geo Scientist and Geologist Exam 2019 Result. Candidates who appeared for the exam need to visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission, i.e. upsc.gov.in to check the Geologist and Geo scientist 2019 exam result. Earlier, the Combined Geo Scientist and Geologist Exam 2019 was held from June 28 to June 30 which was followed by a Personality Test that was conducted from December 16, 2019 to January 10, 2020. The result list is prepared by the commission in the order of merit.
According to the official notification, Candidates whose roll number is there in the merit list will be recommended for appointment to the Group ‘A’ posts of Geophysicist, Geologist and Chemist in the Geological Survey of India and Group A post of Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) in the Central Ground Water Board.
It is to note that a total of 83 candidates have been recommended for the appointment of respective posts of Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist in Category 1 and Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) post in Category 2. UPSC has notified that appointment to the post under the 2 categories will be done according to the merit position.
Apart from this, the commission has also released a provisional list of 27 recommended candidates with their roll numbers. The appointment offer to all those provisionally selected candidates will not be issued until UPSC verifies their original documents that is awaited. The validity of the provision period will be for a period of three months from the date of result declaration. In case candidates fail to produce the original documents in the given period of time, their applications will be rejected.
