Eden Gardens, is the largest in India and second largest in world after Melbourne cricket stadium. It has been also called cricket's answer to the Colosseum and is widely acknowledged to be one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world.

With a seating capacity of 68,000 it is one of the most loved grounds for players and spectators. It is also the headquarters of Cricket Association of Bengal. It has been a happy hunting ground for India and players like VVS Laxman.

The ground has record of helping spinners due to its red soil and provides great assistance for batsmen over the years. The last T20 between India and South Africa was abounded due to bad climate. The ground has seen many records from Kapil Dev’s hatrick to Harbhajan’s one to Laxman’s 281 in Tests to Rohit’s 264 in ODIs and may more.
