Saturday, March 19 is a big day for both India and Pakistan as the arch rivals cricket team will face off in an ICC World Cup T20 clash. But coincidently, March 19 also happens to be the day when Earth Hour will be observed across the globe. Both the events are coinciding as far as the time is concerned.
Now the question is – what will the Indians choose? Will they ditch the crucial clash between India and Pakistan and switch off their TV sets for an hour to observe the Earth Hour?
Earth Hour, an initiative by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), asks people to switch off the electricity for an hour to be a part of a worldwide grassroots movement to save the planet. The WWF initiated this movement in 2007 in Sydney, Australia as a lights-off event.
The match is scheduled to begin from 7:30 PM (Indian Standard Time), while the Earth Hour will be observed from 8.30 PM to 09.30 PM (Indian Standard Time).
Well, watching the match together on a single screen and observing Earth Hour at the same time could be a great idea.
