India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in a Super 10 Group 2 match to record their first win in the ICC T20 World cup 2016. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 55 to guide India home in their chase of 119.
Earlier, Pakistan set a target of 119 against arch-rivals India in the high profile group league encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016. While 118 might not be a great score otherwise, considering the amount of turn on offer, the visitors have something to defend on a match that was reduced to 18-overs-a -side due to rain delay.
The stage is set for the must-awaited match in the ongoing ICC T20 World cup 2016, as India take on arch-rivals Pakistan at historic Eden Gardens. Both the teams are eager to fight against each other. Pakistan have never beaten India in any World cup match. The record is in favour of India but it can be anyone’s day.
However, India won teh toss and elected to bowl first on a good batting track.
India are playing the side that lost to New Zealand.
The Men in Blue, who lost their first game against New Zealand in a turner at Nagpur, will need to beat Pakistan in the high-voltage game to remain alive in the tournament. Pakistan, on the other hand, made a remarkable turnaround in the shortest format by thrashing Bangladesh by 55 runs after a dismal outing in the Asia Cup.
This year both the teams will clash to stamped their supremacy-one to survive in the mega event and the other will break the jinx.
