New Delhi:

Sri Lanka have not posted well or taken early wickets to defend paltry 120 runs on a placid track. South Africa finished the tournament by winning their last match by 8 wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup 2016. The defending champions were shown doors early in the tournament. It was another disappointing ICC tournament for Proteas.

Sri Lanka poor show continued in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2016, as they were bundled out for 120 runs against South Africa. It all began with a lot of pace after Steyn and Abbott used the grassy pitch to zip the new ball through. Then Dilshan and Chandimal seemed to have cracked the code and took Sri Lanka to 45 for 0 in under five overs. But then the spinners took over to restrict the Lanka’s. Aaron Phangiso and Imran Tahir took wickets in regular intervals.

South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl in their inconsequential ICC T20 World Cup 2016 cricket match against Sri Lanka in New Delhi on Monday. Angelo Mathews is not playing after his hamstring injury the other night. Dinesh Chandimal is the Sri Lanka captain.

It’s a dead rubber for both the teams as they are out of the tournament.

Three changes for South Africa- Rabada resting, Steyn is back. Morris has back stiffness, Kyle Abbott is back and Behardien in for Rilee Rossouw. For Sri Lanka Lakmal and Jayasuriya in for Angelo and Dushmantha
