New Delhi :
In Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, a girl allegedly beat her father to death after he tried to rape her in city area, police said on Tuesday.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on Monday when the girl was with her father Sompal (45), a teacher at their residence, they said.
As her father attempted to rape her, the girl started beating him with sticks, killing him on the spot.
The girl’s mother was out of station, as she came back, the girl informed her mother about the incident, following which the police was called and the girl detained.
Investigation is going on into the matter and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
