The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court on Wednesday awarded life imprisonment to two convicts, Devendra Gupta, Bhavesh Patel, in the 2007 Ajmer blast case.
The magistrate also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Patel and 5,000 on Gupta.
The Special NIA court in Jaipur had on March 8 found three persons, including Devendra Gupta, Bhavesh Patel and Sunil Joshi, guilty in the case.
Both Devendra Gupta and Sunil Joshi had been Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) pracharaks.
The three men were held guilty of conspiracy of planting bombs and inciting religious sentiments. While Devendra Gupta and Bhavesh Patel have been in judicial custody, Sunil Joshi died mysteriously in 2007, soon after the Ajmer bomb blast.
