Benazir Bhutto's daughter questions Ramazan laws, says 3 months jail term for breaking fast but terrorists can keep smiling on TV

'3-month jail for drinking water in Ramazan, no rule for terrorists' says daughter of Benazir Bhutto

Bhakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Daughter of Benazir Bhutto has raised questions on Pakistani law in which drinking water during Ramazan is punishable with 3 months jail term but on the other hand, terrorists are allowed to roam freely in the country.

Bhakhtawar in her tweet said, “3 months imprisonment for drinking water during Ramazan but being a terrorist, attempting 2 kill school girls #Malala & u can keep smiling on TV.”

She said, the terrorist who attacked Benazir Bhutto's rally and killed her are still not been arrested and demanded Justice.

Bhakhatawar further clarified on her tweet that could possibly create controversy and said, “we are more than capable of resisting our temptation and keeping our fasts.”

However, she then reiterated the issue and said, “School children and elderly people who are ill can’t keep fasts” and asked if the govt. should also arrest them?

She was told by an another twitter user that the law is as per the Islamic legislation and not according to her “secular mind” on which she said Fasting is 1 of the a5 pillars of Islam and it is an important obligation.  But the law to punish everyone around is not in the religion.

Bhakhtawar is the first child of late Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated by terrorists in 2007.
